Elena Bishop, OTD, OTR/L, CHT

Occupational Therapist

Elena Bishop, a native Portlander, is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist (CHT). She earned her doctorate in occupational therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to this, she completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology at Scripps College in Claremont, California.

Elena is dedicated to treating upper limb conditions resulting from trauma, disease, and acquired or congenital deformity. She creates a positive and caring setting that puts her patients at ease. Her goal is to provide support and education, and to collaborate with each patient in the therapeutic process. She employs a wide variety of strategies tailored to her patients' individual needs including customized orthoses and braces.

Outside of work, Elena likes to travel, cook, and explore Portland. She also enjoys reading fiction, paddle boarding, and spending time with her cats.

Occupational Therapist

"I have a passion for helping people regain their ability to do what they love to do and return to being active members of their family and community. I also have a passion for helping people regain motor control and function, especially regarding being able to use their arms and hands to in a purposeful way.

I am a native Oregonian and Portlander. I鈥檝e lived all over the country, though. I like gardening and native plants. I have two teenage sons and a husband who is a meteorologist (not on t.v.). I have two dogs I love to walk!"

Bryan Jacobs, OTR/L, CHT

Occupational Therapist

Bryan, a native Oregonian, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon in 2009, earning degrees in psychology and anthropology. Following his graduation, he spent two impactful years serving in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. This experience inspired Bryan to pursue a career in healthcare, leading him to the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, where he graduated with a master's in occupational therapy in 2017.

After two years of working in acute care in Memphis, Bryan and his wife Kristine returned to Portland to start a family. Since 2019, he has been a dedicated member of 网曝门事件 Healthcare, specializing in outpatient hand therapy. His commitment to professional growth and excellence culminated in 2023 when he became a certified hand therapist, further enhancing his ability to provide specialized care to his patients.

Outside of work, Bryan enjoys the fulfilling role of being a dad, along with hobbies like gardening and exploring the Pacific Northwest. He is also a passionate supporter of the Blazers and Ducks. Bryan lives in SE Portland with his wife Kristine, their two daughters, and their dog Ender, where they embrace the joys of family life and the vibrant local community.

Joanna Stephan, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Joanna Stephan earned her master's degree in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in southern California. Prior to this, she completed a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Walla Walla University in eastern Washington. Her unique educational background blends artistic creativity with therapeutic expertise, enabling her to offer a holistic approach to patient care. Joanna has a passion for learning about, and working with, individuals who have upper limb diagnoses. She views therapy as a partnership with each patient, striving to listen well and provide person-centered care. Joanna understands that each person holds a unique set of interests, strengths, and goals, and tailors her treatment sessions to reflect these individual needs. Joanna employs a variety of evidence-based treatment strategies including education and custom orthoses. Outside of work, Joanna loves spending time in nature with a variety of outdoor hobbies including backpacking and skiing. She also likes watercolor painting, tending to her tiny flower garden, and playing fetch with her cat Ruthie.
