Work Experience: Internal Medicine experience in Pakistan as a medical officer and primary care physician.
Why did you choose Internal Medicine? Wide variety of cases, long-term patient/doctor relationship building.
Career plans after Residency: Pursue a fellowship to have a practice that will help build a long-term relationship with his patients, mostly in the underserved communities.

Career plans after Residency: Wants to become a hospitalist and be an important member in the health network to offer her expertise in primary care.

Career plans after Residency: Wants to become a Cardiologist. If not, would become a PCP/Hospitalist.

Why did you choose Internal Medicine or Family Medicine: Why choose Internal Medicine: My choice to specialize in Internal Medicine stems from a deep commitment to patient care, the intellectual rigor of the field, and the chance for ongoing professional development. This specialty uniquely combines diagnostic challenges, the formation of enduring patient relationships, and the management of diverse medical conditions.

Career plans after residency: After residency I aim to specialize in Pulmonary and critical care.

Hobbies: Mountain biking, tinkering on my car, motorcycle, bicycle, computer and house, Videogames and hanging out with friends

Work Experience: Interned for 4 months at various outpatient clinics of New York City鈥檚 underserved communities, specializing in cardiology, pain management and addiction. In addition, I worked for 2 years as a Cardiac Telemetry Technician, while volunteering in my free time at local non-profits and the psychiatry department at hospital I worked for as a research volunteer.

Why did you choose Internal Medicine or Family Medicine: Internal medicine, to me, is the path that has always brought with it new experiences and learning opportunities with every patient encountered. Within this specialty comes the opportunity to collaborate with specialists that are often just a few doors away. Their knowledge and guidance helped me better tailor my approach to treatment and patient care.

Career plans after residency: My goals are to give back to the community and to the program that helped nurture me into the fully competent and independent physician I will be upon my graduation from this residency program. I hope to be fortunate enough to teach the next generation of physicians and have the lasting impact my seniors and mentors have had on me.

Work Experience: I worked as a dermatologist in India after completing dermatology residency from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.

Why did you choose Internal Medicine or Family Medicine: I sought a more dynamic and diverse medical experience which inspired me to transition from dermatology to internal medicine. I wanted to have broader knowledge and opportunities to tackle health issues.

Career plans after residency: I am keeping an open mind though my interests are inclined towards hospitalist /cardiology/ rheumatology.

Worked as a research coordinator at Charles Drew University for data analysis and extraction and manuscript writing. Volunteer work at MLK medical center LA with Dr Friedman in a Obesity Clinic.

Why did you choose Internal Medicine or Family Medicine: It was something that really appealed to me because I always wanted to be a person who could contribute and make a difference or impact someone else鈥檚 life for the better in terms of their health, their wellbeing. Being an internal medicine doctor will mean being the primary contact point of an individual, so you would have the ability to determine what the patient needs to get better, even survive in many cases.

Career plans after residency: Will try for fellowship in Cardiology. Doctor work as a Hospitalist.
