Our Community Resource Center offers senior citizens in our Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles community a variety of free services and assistance. Seniors can call us or simply walk into our Community Resource Center for help with supportive programs, services, useful resources and information on upcoming events to help you thrive.
MAOF (Mexican American Opportunity Foundation)
In collaboration with the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), White Memorial offers special assistance to seniors age 60 or older.
- Taxi vouchers and bus tokens
- Assistance with completion and translation of forms: Social Security forms, Medicare, home energy applications, etc.
- Referrals: Immigration, meal sites, senior housing, social/recreational activities, Social Security, home delivered meals, legal services, Home Secure Program, Handy Worker Program, and other transportation needs
隆Vive Bien! Senior Wellness Program
The 隆Vive Bien! Senior Wellness Program is a free program to enhance senior health and quality of life in our community.
The program offers free classes and activities for seniors, including:
- Workshops with White Memorial doctors, pharmacists and health experts
- Information and tips on preventing and managing disease
- Exercise classes for seniors
- Senior walking club
- Nutrition classes and healthy cooking demonstrations
- Social activities and events
- Information and assistance with healthcare coverage and enrollment

Anyone 60 and older is eligible! Joining 隆Vive Bien! is easy鈥搄ust sign up at White Memorial鈥檚 Community Resource Center or at one of our partner sites. You鈥檒l be issued a membership card and can begin attending classes and events.
